Binghamton Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons, P.C.

Our heart surgeons perform most coronary bypasses without the use of the heart lung machine. We find that our patients have less problems being weaned from the ventilator, bleeding tends to be less and overall they are being sent home earlier.

This is a real movie clip of a surgeon sewing a vein to a heart artery while the heart stays beating. Note how the artery being sewn is barely moving.
